God calls us to serve Him by serving one another. We are each uniquely created and shaped by God for that purpose. Part of belonging to a church family is learning to joyfully serve by helping each other grow in faith, supporting each other in our daily lives, meeting each others needs, and guiding people to lives of Gospel transformation. Below are a few ways to get involved in serving at Northstar. Click “I want to serve!” to fill out the form and a staff member will contact you with the next steps!
Nursery and Northstar Kids: Our children’s programs run during Sunday morning services. We are in need of people to serve in various roles during each of these services for all ages (6 months – Grade 6).
Northstar Youth: Youth leaders are the backbone of youth ministry. They are the direct hands and feet of Jesus when it comes to the church ministry to youth. Leaders who love Jesus and share that love with students, create lasting meaningful relationships.
Production: Our teams work behind-the-scenes and have involvement in almost all areas of Northview. From weekend services, to events, there are many opportunities to serve in this area. ex. Sound, lighting, video, photography, mixing, set design, etc.
Worship Ministry: If God has gifted you with musical or technical talent, we want you to be able to use it for His glory! If you are interested in serving in any of these areas, we would love to find a way to get you involved! This may include weekend services, weekday ministry events (mens, womens, funerals, Youth, etc.) as well as occasional special events.
Hospitality Team: Usher, Greeter, Connect Desk, Parking Lot. Do you love connecting with people, shaking hands, and making them feel welcome? This could be the place for you! Our hospitality team is diverse in its opportunities, from greeting people at the door to manning the Connect Desk, there’s something for every warmly dispositioned person!
Care Team: The practical needs of the church and community are an incredible way to serve and love one another. On call help can look like helping a family move, providing meals for families in need, simply being present with those in our community and more.
Prayer Team: Do you have a passion for praying for others? You can spend a weekend service praying with and for people who come to the Prayer Circle.
Other: Communion, Offering Counter, set up/take down, etc. There are several other ways to get involved in our community! You could help prepare and serve communion, count the offering, or help our ministries by setting up spaces. Have other ideas? Let us know.
